Over 600 civil society organisations from around the world met in Accra, Ghana in September 2008 ahead of the High level forum on Aid effectiveness. Their message to the 100 ministers attending the forum from around the world was loud and clear: We need far reaching reforms of the international aid system and we need it now. This photo essay examines the way aid continues to be tied to the political and economic interests of wealthy donor countries.
