We need your help to continue our work as an independent monitor of Australia's aid and trade.
Donate nowTips for Giving
Here are some handy hints for giving:
- Make sure you research before you donate. Look at websites, check Annual Reports, call the office and ask where your money is going.
- We recommend putting your support towards groups that directly support local communities, groups and civil society and those that have environmental sustainability, accountability and human rights as core values.
- Consider searching out smaller organisation that do equally as good work but may not have the public profile of larger organisations.
- For emergency relief, consider groups that have been active in the affected areas and ones that will be providing support in the long term and not just emergency relief.
- As a donor, you should be aware of and feel comfortable if the agency you are supporting has a religious affiliation.
- Is the group you are donating to a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct which ensures accountability or equivalent? To find out go to http://www.acfid.asn.au/code/code_signatories.htm
